I get inspired by having a purpose for my writing.
Sometimes I write for myself. It's when I want to release a twisted jungle of thoughts in my head or a massive weight from my heart.
Most of the time, I get inspired to write because I want to make the world a better place. I want my writing to have a positive impact on everyone who reads it. Sometimes I'll write advice. Other times it's about a social issue. Mostly, it's about writing something that will benefit others and help them with whatever they're going through.

I'm always looking for ways to help make the world a better place with my writing.
Besides being an author, I'm also a high school English teacher. I'm always trying to find new ways to engage my students and help them learn more. I've noticed that one major difference between the students who are successful and the ones who aren't is their work ethic. So, I decided to create a tool to help high school students develop habits that leads them to be successful in school and in life. It's a tool for everyone, especially students who are struggling.
My goal is to help all my students, and also students around the world.

I'm currently working on a book designed to help high school students build good habits to be successful. It's a project of passion and I hope helps my current students, and also students all over the world.

There are two strategies I mainly use to deal with writer's block. The first one is taking a short break. I usually like to do something unrelated to writing to take my mind off of my current project. After a little while, I jump right back in. The second strategy is to write (either practice or on my current project) to get back in the groove. When I do this, I know I'm not producing the most quality work and I most likely will scrap it, but it's what gets me back on track. What works for me may not work for everyone, but I recommend doing whatever works for you to get past writer's block. It's something inevitable, so getting through it is an important skill.
