Thank you for your kind words. Sorry but no. I am thankful that I write non-fiction because then it is all about the facts. I am not good at writing settings, mood, character development, story lines, etc. However, in an upcoming book about transhumanism and the Golem concept I did write include a shorts (about six pages) fictional story about the creation of a Golem.

Simply talking to someone about what you have in mind for your book will take you very far towards bursting through writer's block. This is because you have a head full of ideas and as you express them it forces you to put them in place and getting feedback will force you to realize how it is that you need to put things into writing. For example, perhaps A, C, E makes sense to you because you are aware that you are skipping a slot between each letter. But the person to whom you express it points out that you should not merely presuppose that this is obvious and you need to write out the fact that it is A, B, C, D, E but that A, C, E is that upon which you will be focusing.
In short, making yourself speak/write is a great way to make yourself put things in order.

I find that when I conduct research it is tantamount to when a jigsaw puzzle is in pieces. As I learn more and think about things, more the issue becomes systematized which is like beginning to put the puzzle pieces together. In the end, I put as much of the puzzle together as I can: and am comfortable with the fact that there might be some pieces still not in place so that the puzzle is not complete because I do not know everything.

My advice for aspiring writers is to write books that you want to read. This will help you decide how to format your book in terms of content. Also, think about your parameters. For example, I am going to write an "everything you ever wanted to know about the entire history of welding" or solely on underwater welding safety procedures. Setting your parameters will help keep you focused and relieve some of the potential stress which may come about from thinking that every book must be a styled dissertation.

I am currently working on a wild, wild ride through a strange and complex set of topics which revolve around how our culture (pop-culture, the news, etc.) handle issues such as occultism (by any other name) including so called "Satanic crime," the issue of symbolism in movies, Atheist views on issues such as abortion and rape, Scientology, and much, much (much) more. I hope it turns out to be food for thought as well as a drink from the fire-hose of oddities.

Since I write non-fiction, I find that I am generally inspired to write so as to express the process through which I went on my journey to become well informed about any given issue.
I write about that which I have learned and since this may seem self-evident, I will elucidate as follows.
I get a bite on something which interests me, I research it from various points of view, I think about it, I come to a conclusion, I think about how I would argue against my conclusion, I per-package my books with answers to such arguments and hope that this makes for a better and more challenging result for both myself as well as the readers.
