Goodreads asked Ken Ammi:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Ken Ammi Simply talking to someone about what you have in mind for your book will take you very far towards bursting through writer's block. This is because you have a head full of ideas and as you express them it forces you to put them in place and getting feedback will force you to realize how it is that you need to put things into writing. For example, perhaps A, C, E makes sense to you because you are aware that you are skipping a slot between each letter. But the person to whom you express it points out that you should not merely presuppose that this is obvious and you need to write out the fact that it is A, B, C, D, E but that A, C, E is that upon which you will be focusing.
In short, making yourself speak/write is a great way to make yourself put things in order.
