Steven Kunkler "First comes the red... and then comes the black!" the clown chuckled maniacally, talking to a friend who could no longer hear him.

"You can do it!" or "just do it!" spring to mind.

My advice is to be committed, because while sales can trickle in even without marketing, actually writing the book is only the first half of the journey. If you want people to read it, you're going to need marketing too! It’s a gruelling and long ride that you’re going to hate, and love every minute of it.
Steven Kunkler How do I get inspired to write? Well, I don't think the inspiration ever truly goes away. With all of the cool books out there and even movies and music (for a shorter/lighter inspiration), it's hard not to want to write my own books and leave my mark on the world.
Steven Kunkler I've had the beginning written since I was in High School. I dropped it for four years to write Soul Release, and I'm only just now getting back into it. I really didn't have the full story planned out, so I spent the last month coming up with an outline for it. I think my main inspiration from it came from the Hunger Games and the Maze runner series, as those were what I was reading when I wrote the first chapter. I love the idea of a post-apocalyptic world and even though it is a more popular setting, I think there is a ton left to do yet with the premise.
Steven Kunkler A novel called "Broken Blood". It is a post-apocalyptic survival story of a teenager and his community trying to survive the aftermath of a warring world. There will be danger, death, action, and also well... words. A good may of them.
Steven Kunkler Sit down and think, sometimes for hours on end. My best ideas generally come in the evening or early mornings... if it's the middle of the day that's when I am most prone to getting a block (especially if there are five thousand things going on around me). If a block hits, sometimes I will stop what I'm doing and revisit later. Unless I can put my whole heart into my writing, then there is no sense in me being a writer.
Steven Kunkler The mental picture as you're writing it; seeing the words of a book spring to life is a testament to the beauty of our minds, and our uniqueness. Nobody imagines scenes the same way.

Also, it has always been my belief that everyone has a story to tell, and one of the best things about being a writer is that I get to share my stories with others in the best way I know how.
