My best ideas generally come in the evening or early mornings... if it's the middle of the day that's when I am most prone to getting a block (especially if there are five thousand things going on around me). If a block hits, sometimes I will stop what I'm doing and revisit later. Unless I can put my whole heart into my writing, then there is no sense in me being a writer.(less)

Why do we need the storms?

I was watching a video about why God allows us to go through storms and trouble and it says that we go through storms for growth and to help us reach out to God. It is only in the storms that we will try to search for something that can calm the winds and the rains.

This makes sense and it is something that I have discovered for myself. I have been in a storm for a long time, but I found something

“A strong heart is not one that beats fast or pumps more blood, a strong heart is one that has been broken and then mended; a thinker of the heart is a powerful person.”
― Stephen Kunkler

“If you are to meet destruction after death, then what is the point of the cornerstone upon which the world stands in knowledge of earthly things? Unless your knowledge comes from faith and is of the spirit, which endures forever, you stand on the principles of darkness.
For darkness is knowledge without faith; a knowledge you can see, but can't see through. But knowledge without darkness is faith in what you cannot see, but can see through, the same way you can see through light and unto the truth which lay in that darkness of the world.
Faith is knowledge in those things you can't see, but can see through to truth. This means that wisdom comes from understanding; and understanding is faith of knowledge. For a man does not know a thing without faith but with faith he can believe the things he has heard to be true.”
― Stephen Kunkler, Soul Release

“The heroes are those that stand to face their legion of enemies, even if they stand alone. They are unbreakable... you can break their blood and bones, but you cannot break their spirit.”
― Stephen Kunkler

“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies, said Jojen. The man who never reads lives only one.”
― George R.R. Martin, A Dance with Dragons

“... a mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge.”
― George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones

“Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armour yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.”
― George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones

“Only one who devotes himself to a cause with his whole strength and soul can be a true master. For this reason mastery demands all of a person.”
― Albert Einstein
