Rayne Dowell When writing, "Unmasking: A Journey" I learned at the end of the book I was a High Sensation Seeking Highly Sensitive Person, (or HSP/HSS) which led me to write the book I'm currently writing, "Unmasking: A High Sensation Seeking Highly Sensitive Person - A Spiritual Journey". So I'm delving into what I've been learning about the HSP Trait and HSS and how this information is positively affecting my life.
Rayne Dowell Hi Diane :)

Thank you for asking - I've always had vivid dreams from as far back as I can remember. I always felt there was more to them than "they're just random thoughts being processed". I do recall actively making a plan when I was about 10 or 11 years old to remember my dreams when I woke up. I'd say "I will remember my dreams when I wake up" about 20 times before falling asleep. I did this for about 3 or four months every night. Since then I just remember them.
Rayne Dowell I meditate, exercise, dream, eat, go for a walk/hike... I'm not sure how to answer this. I just feel pulled to write.
Rayne Dowell I'm working on the sequel to my first book. I'm not sure about the title yet but am thinking of... "Unmasking: Going Within, an HSP Journey". I'll be blogging the chapters on my website if you're interested.
Rayne Dowell It depends what the "block" feels like. If it feels like I'm stalling because I need to expand my boundaries - then I write. If it feels like I need to take a break then I meditate, go have some fun, do some baking, take a nap, whatever.
Rayne Dowell It's incredibly interesting.
Rayne Dowell Write, ask lots of people for feedback before publishing, develop your own unique style, "show don't tell" (which I struggle with), be willing to delve into your characters (one dimensional characters are boring), don't take anything personally (some people will like your writing others won't, no biggie), and edit, edit, edit.
