I can't say I've ever experienced writer's block. Sometimes the words don't flow, other times, they're utter shite, but I continue to get them down in the hope that they can be battered into shape. What I worry about, is that the ideas might dry up. To date, there are still a few in the tank.

Find a way to love editing. The writing for me is the fun part, but it is just the beginning of the process. Getting the initial words on the page is the easy part, shaping them into something saleable takes time and effort and isn't always the most joyful.

The serialised launch of my debut novel, 'A Little Something To Hide' which will be released between June and November 2024.

I think the question would be better put, 'Why do you write?' to which I would answer, because I have a need to do so. The inspiration doesn't always come, but I take joy in the mechanics of the process, whether I'm inspired or not.

I'm currently working on my second novel, Dignity, inspired by the Deacon Blue song of the same name.
