Keep at it. Aspiring writers need only become writers to become better. My first draft of SPIRITUAL AUDACITY was bad. Actually very bad. Then I attended a writing boot camp and the second draft was better. Then I bought a creative nonfiction writing class on DVD and the third draft was even better. Then I stepped back and began rewriting all over again and I was happier still with the result. So I registered for the Iowa Writer's workshop on doing better revisions. Now I began to know what I was doing. The seventh draft finally found me a publisher who has been extraordinarily helpful for me on this journey. She hooked me up with a great editor who helped me through several more drafts. Finally draft number twelve is a book I can be proud of and one well worth publishing.

SPIRITUAL AUDACITY started out simply as my memoir of a surprising sixty years of living in a late 20th and early 21st century globalizing America. But my publisher pointed out that repeatedly returned to six spiritual disciplines that enhance human flourishing. So I structured my memoir around those six disciplines of human flourishing making it a much better book.
