Goodreads asked Jim Sherblom:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Jim Sherblom Keep at it. Aspiring writers need only become writers to become better. My first draft of SPIRITUAL AUDACITY was bad. Actually very bad. Then I attended a writing boot camp and the second draft was better. Then I bought a creative nonfiction writing class on DVD and the third draft was even better. Then I stepped back and began rewriting all over again and I was happier still with the result. So I registered for the Iowa Writer's workshop on doing better revisions. Now I began to know what I was doing. The seventh draft finally found me a publisher who has been extraordinarily helpful for me on this journey. She hooked me up with a great editor who helped me through several more drafts. Finally draft number twelve is a book I can be proud of and one well worth publishing.
