John Wasowicz Trudy: Good to hear from you. I never used Trudy Apple as a character. But I should, shouldn’t I? I’ll tell you what. I’ll see if I can incorporate Trudy into the book I’m currently writing. No promises. As to books, yes, there are 4 of them now. The new ones are Slaters Land and Roaches Run. If you like, I can mail them to you and you can send me a check upon receipt. The books retail for $22. When I sell “direct” I charge $15 per book, so it would be $30 + postage. Let me know. And, if you want inscriptions, tell me what I should say! You can email me at wazwitz@yahoo.com. Take care.
John Wasowicz Dena: I enjoy Louise Penny but I didn’t get the idea from FINE, at least not consciously. I thought of Landry as a reckless rocket man, hence the ICBM. JP is Book 2 of the series. The order is Daingerfield Island, JP, Slaters Lane, and Roaches Run. If you send a mailing address to my email account (wazwitz@yahoo.com), I will sign and mail you a courtesy copy of one of those books, whichever one you prefer. Gadsby’s Corner will be out this year. Take care. JW
John Wasowicz Mike: I just finished “Slaters Lane,” a Mo Katz mystery that takes place in April 2020 in the height of the coronavirus. Katz & Co. solve it by using phones, virtual searches, computers, and conference calls. It’s being proofed as we speak. The cover art is being finalized. I’m searching for a narrator; contacted Signature Theater this morning. Hopefully we’ll get it published this summer. Thanks for asking and stay in touch.
