Matthew D. Hunt I wanted to write something with realistic people and interactions. With the devastation of Katrina and other natural disasters I wanted a "What if this was you" type book. To write something that would take you away, make you picture yourself in that situation, like so many of the books I love to read.
Matthew D. Hunt I wanted this story told. It was first just a spec for a TV show or mini series. I started writing the time line for the script arc of the show when that was done I was so involved that I started writing the story and would change it into a script later, that never happened I kept writing, then I had to trim side character branches and other in-depth world happens to bring the book to the page number it is now.
Matthew D. Hunt Just write it. Write it all, then go back and second guess or change things, but get it all down first.
Matthew D. Hunt Having people enjoy your work. It makes you feel like you were able to take someone into another world, even if for a brief moment.
Matthew D. Hunt Take a break from the project and work on another. Or discuss the project and ideas with close friends or family.
