Writing is HARD. It is perfectly normal to have a hard time getting through a manuscript, and it often feels like you're writing garbage that everyone is going to hate. Push through it - I promise the feeling of accomplishment is worth the grief!

It's not easy, and I often fail, but the only real cure is to sit down and force yourself to write. Even if it's 100 words that are garbage. The discipline of it makes writer's block a lot easier to push through.
It's MUCH easier to cut it off at the pass. I never leave myself in a "tough spot". I always stop in the middle of an interesting scene or dialogue, and then I do a quick outline of what I would have written next. When I sit down to write again, it's easy to pick up and carry on!
