The discipline of it makes writer's block a lot easier to push through.

It's MUCH easier to cut it off at the pass. I never leave myself in a "tough spot". I always stop in the middle of an interesting scene or dialogue, and then I do a quick outline of what I would have written next. When I sit down to write again, it's easy to pick up and carry on!(less)
