Great question! I make up pretty much all of the town names in my books so I can take creative liberties, and I wanted a very evocative and visual name that also kind of summed up what the town has to offer. It's this random little nowhere place and about as exciting as a blue bottle, but it still has its beauty.

I take a break! I do other things that I enjoy, and let my mind wander. Sometimes writer's block is a sign you're either burned out or really need to give yourself space to not be a creative machine. I also read a lot of things I REALLY love, which always gets me in the mood to write again and opens my minds to new ways to approach storytelling.
