That's a tough question, but I'd say Sector 5 from the Beyond Series by Kit Rocha, and I'd dance in the bar.

I read several books this year. Some were the end of series I'd started years ago and some were the beginning of series that I don't know if I'll finish.
My summer started with Pucked Love and Pucked Off then moved to The Negotiation. I started the Quantum Series (Virtuous, Valorous, and Victorious) and ended my summer with Her Best Friend's Dad.
When I'm writing, I try to read books that are the opposite of what I'm working on.

Sounds like a perfect day. Don't forget my side of bacon, though.

Life and music.

Truthfully, I don't think I'm qualified to answer this question because I feel that I'm still aspiring to be a writer. This is new to me, and I still have so much to learn.
Before I started this journey, I listened and tried to absorb as much as I could. I stayed open to possibilities that I hadn't thought of. The one thing I'd tell someone is...you're new to this journey. Listen to what people who have been in this arena have to say. Just because you've written a manuscript doesn't mean you know everything.

My 9-5 job is very structured. Writing gives me a way to escape.

First, I walk away from what I'm working on.
Second, I listen. I listen to music, to my beta readers, to my inner circle of friends, to my husband.
Third, I walk away again and think about what I've heard. Question my characters and plot. Then question how can I make it better with the suggestions that I've received.
I've learned if it feels forced for me to write it, it'll come across forced for the reader as well. The second book in the Riverton Crossing series, Unfinished Business, went through three rewrites before it felt right. The first version had good bones, but it was BORING (and my beta readers told me so). The second was more exciting, but didn't flow. The third combined the two nicely and everyone seems happy with it.

Since the Riverton Crossing series is interconnected, I'm working on several books at the same time.
I'm currently doing the final read through of Unfinished Business before it goes to the editor. It's the second book in the Riverton Crossing series and scheduled to release December 1, 2017.
I'm also working through the plot of Unexpected Guest. Depending on how that plot turns out will depend if it'll be a novella or a full-length novel. Tentatively scheduled first quarter 2018.
As I work through the above stories, I'm making sure things can flow smoothly into Uninvited Visitors. Tentatively scheduled for spring 2018.
I'm excited about this series and hope everyone enjoys reading it as much as I've enjoyed writing it.

Unwelcomed Greeting was sparked by two factors.
1. I grew up in a small southern town that's changed throughout my lifetime so I created a small sultry southern town.
2. The song "The Night the Lights Went Out In Georgia" by Reba McEntire. The words just meshed one day with the other ideas running in my head and The Riverton Crossing series came to life.
