The ground was mushy, muddy when she felt her feet sink. Oh, it's not just mud, it's a hole!

When I can't write, I can't write, so I do not frustrate myself by trying to force something than isn't ready to come out of hiding. I wait and try not to feel guilty about waiting...and I research so that when it's time, I have a lot of what I think I will need. I also read a lot during block time and am often inspired by other's books.

I'm a "newbie", so currently, everything is the best part. With that being said, I need an agent and have no idea how to get a good one. I have been told it must be a NY agent. That's all I know. The reason? Trying to set up book readings and signings is time consuming and often frustrating. I think someone who is not emotionally involved would be great!

Just write. DO NOT WASTE TIME EDITING AND REWRITING. Just get the entire story down...then you can edit. Which brings up an important issue. Get a good editor. Of course your friends and family will love it, but an editor will guide and teach you in ways you cannot imagine!

A sequel to Secrets of the Devil Vine. The antagonist in this story has peaked my imagination, so I want to know more about her, her earlier life and....well, can't say much more about that now.

Questions and/or characters pop into my mind, usually when I'm trying to sleep. Of course, it leaves me no choice but to get up and write it down and then the next day, I'll start fleshing out whatever was haunting me as I dozed off. I rarely know what path this will lead me down or what my characters may say or do.

I was visiting Ft. Morgan and I remembered that when I was a child, there had been a hotel and restaurant there. When I tried to research the establishment, there was little to nothing to find, which I found to be mysterious. Locals said both buildings burned in the 1960's and the fires could be seen from Mobile. Again, when I researched this, I found nothing. So, it seemed to me the entire place was draped in mystery which inspired me to fill in my own blanks!
