A friend of mine inspired it but it really spawned out of my journal. I saw a unique opportunity to illustrate my fares in a way that made them really come to life while simultaneously showing what Tampa Bay is all about at night.

Almost every emotion I have inspires me to write. Conversations with people are always the most fascinating thing, though. I love having conversations with people I've never met because I generally try to handle the situation in a fun way and say things most people wouldn't say. It's always interesting to see what makes people tick.

I have a journal and just write in it as much as possible. Sometimes you have to move past personal issues to write what really needs to be written, the journal allows me to get all that out. I also start stories as they come to me and keep them saved. I think have around 10 right now that I have notes on. I try not to let a possibly good idea slip away as you never know when another good one will knock on your brain announcing itself.

Using my writing has become therapy. Over the years I've suffered a lot of mental anguish and it at one point became my only release. That's the best thing about being a writer, being able to release whatever it is you are going through into the world and sometimes gaining an audience in the process.

Do it everyday even if only for a few minutes. You never know how far you will go until you try.
