I've always written stories. But giving myself permission to try to write a book? I was talking online to Sara Douglass (Battleaxe) via a forum we were both on and she was the first real encouragement I received. She told me that stories were meant to be written so 'just do it'. She was truly an inspiration and is sorely missed.
