I’m so sorry that I didn’t see this.
I’m an eclectic reader. I enjoy and appreciate most any genre (when it’s done well). I enjoy classics from authors like Brontë and Gaskell. Historical fiction by authors like Julie Klassen and Nancy Turner (These is my Words is a bit gritty, but the romance is spectacular), contemporary by authors like Denise Hunter. I could go on and on!
Give me all the well-written books and I’ll eat them up. Thanks for asking 😊

Hi Linda,
from what I understand “attending lady”, “a lady in attendance”, “an attending” could have all been used. If a woman wanted to see the dentist they might have stopped in and said, “I have a terrible toothache.” And the dentist might have said, “come anytime. I have a lady in attendance, no need for a chaperone.”
C. Edmund Kells is credited as having the First Lady in Attendance. Feel free to message me if you want a few links to articles on Ladies in Attendance. It was an exciting new field for women.
Thanks for reading.

I just saw this! When Penny bought the dog she was told she was a poodle but then as she grew she suspected that she was something else. So a mixed breed. When her father died and they lost their money and Penny started working all the time they didn't keep up on trimming her hair so she's a shaggy mess.
I actually had several other breeds in mind while writing it that would have been drawn to water and had the unique look I wanted but when I researched them I couldn't find evidence that they were in the US yet.

I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed it! My second book releases in 2019 and is titled Yours Truly, Thomas. it’s stand alone but passes through the town of Azure Springs! It’ was lots of fun to write. it starts at the dead letter office in Washington DC where our main character ends up with a letter she just doesn’t want to let die. My 2020 release I’m also really excited about. it’s a whole new town and cast of characters. I don’t want to give too much away but I’m already antsy for readers to get a hold of it!

Yay! So glad you are enjoying it. My second book is stand alone but the characters do pass through Azure Springs and we get to see lots of the characters from The Hope of Azure Springs in it. I have played around with the idea of writing some spin off novellas but haven’t actually done it yet.

Awesome, I'm already looking forward to your next book!

That's a hard one. I love being flexible with my schedule so my kids and husband can still be my number one. I also love it when I am writing and the characters help me know what will happen next. It's exciting witnessing it all unfold.

I'm really excited about my work in progress. It starts at the dead letter office in Washington D.C. in 1883. A letter falls into the hands of a woman who can not let that letter die!

After this book came out I started getting messages from readers about Signed, Sealed, Delivered and decided to watch it. I loved it!

That sounds akin to the show/movie series "Signed, Sealed, & Delivered" that aired on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries! :)

I have always been a reader but I didn't think I could be a writer. I doubted myself and thought that writing was something someone else did. Someone smarter are more skilled then me. But I'd attended the school of "reading" and when my husband said, "you read so much you should write a book." I decided to give it a try. It went so well. It was as though a part of me had been dormant for years and was suddenly set free!
