Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Prerna Kohli My most recent book is The Crazy Cricket Carnival. This is actually an exceptional one and sounds unbelievable even to myself. But I got this idea when I dreamed about a game of cricket. And I just couldn't let it go and ended up turning into a full-fledged novel.

How do you get inspired to write?
Prerna Kohli As cliche as it sounds, but I do believe that everyone has a story to tell. And that's how inspiration strikes. Random conversations with people and listening to their tales of joys and sorrows often get me inspired to write.

What are you currently working on?
Prerna Kohli As of now, have penned down two novels: Four Seasons and The Crazy Cricket Carnival (both published and available on Amazon Kindle).

I am currently debating between two ideas and story-boarding both of them to finalize the one that I would like to focus on.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Prerna Kohli Don't give up! Writing a good novel is a lot of hard-word. It requires patience and resilience. There will be times when the effort might not seem worth it. But if you have a good story to tell and you're convince about it, just don't give up.

Prerna Kohli You can even live some of your far-fetched dreams in a make believe world!

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Prerna Kohli I love stories, whether I am an audience or whether I am the narrator. And I am impatient about wanting to know how they end. Whenever writer's block stuck in the middle of a novel, I spent hours doing just nothing. I would lie down, obsessing about my characters and ask myself questions about them - what are their motives, what do I want for them, how do I see them shaping their lives! Sometimes it took a day, sometimes weeks. It might not be an ideal way, but it has always worked for me.
