I'm currently working on a new series called the Myst Isles. The first book will follow Lyris, an student magician as she tries to complete her final test and earn her place among the Myst. If only life was so simple!

I've always wanted to take people on an adventure. I've always loved reading and that sense of escape into a magical world. I want to invite my reader into my equivalent of Narnia, or Hogwarts and let them fall in love with the place.

It's important to keep writing - even if it's just a little bit each day. That way I can always go back and edit (but you can't edit a blank page). So what I do, is drop my target for the day down to 100 words just to kick-start and keep going. After a few days of struggling to reach 100 usually I can then increase my target to 250, 500 then a 1000 and we're away again!
Remember to reward yourself for reaching those targets though, if your target is 100 words and you make it - well done! Have a break and come back fresh tomorrow.
