Books one and two are one larger story, with book three following on later. My husband and I were talking through ideas I had and it grew from there.

That's not an easy question to answer as it varies. Sometimes I will be chatting and the person will either look a certain way, or say something which I hear and my creative brain turns into a whole scene based around that one sentence. Or, I could be out walking, or a passenger in a car and a copse of trees, or an old road, or ruins will catch my eye and again, my brain will play a scene incorporating what I have seen or heard. Then one idea leads to another, and another and before I know it, a chapter has unfolded.

The same advice that was given to me, just write the story as it comes to mind and get is all down on paper (or laptop) and don't worry about editing etc. until the second & third draft etc.

Losing myself in a totally fantastic world that I have created and taking a journey with my characters.

I try not to stress about it and take some time away from my laptop. I enjoy knitting and adult colouring books and I find spening time on these hobbies very relaxing and once I'm more relaxed the ideas start flowing again.
