I'm currently working on the sequel to Burn the Ashes. It continues the adventures of Peony, Eli, Anza, Gray, Zazi, and Drex and I have been filled with joy, heartache, and evil laughter the entire time.

I've learned that, for me, writer's block isn't really a barrier. It's a muscle that is out of practice. I write best when I am able to write consistently, daily, for long stretches of time... which, for me as a teacher, is usually summer break.
When I have "writer's block," I just need to get back into my world (most recently, Trinity). I reread, I plan, I infodump to a friend willing to ignore a hundred or so Messenger notifications, and I hyperfocus. Eventually, I'm right back in the story and it is more real than my surroundings.
