This is a tough question. Fantasy authors have always fed my imagination. Roger Zelazny's Amber was the world I cut my teeth on. However, Anne McCaffery's Pern is the place I'd wish to be. As for what I would do? I'd live there just to see what came my way.

Currently I am reading the Many Headed Hydra by Peter Linebaugh. Enjoying it so far. Additionally I have started the new Benedict Arnold Biography by Joyce Lee Malcolm. I eagerly await the next Dragaera novel by Steven Brust.

I make eggs Benedict. The stress of trying to make a poached egg and warm hollandaise come out at the same time always centers me.

In moments of boredom a bit of dialogue may appear. A character gets locked in my head. Often when I am working in old manuscripts and uncover some hidden history I feel it would add to a compelling narrative.

As a child I loved Arthurian Legend. Mary Stewart inspired me with her telling. I devoured every story from Steinbeck to Twain, and everyone in between. No one ever discussed what happened after Arthur was killed. I wanted to write that story.
