Hawkings Austin I write something else. I've got three or four or twenty outlines, synopsis, or other bits and pieces lying around my computer. This is a new computer, so there are only three partial novels on it. I'll move the other ones over later. I just read some of my work, start editing, then find that I need to add a scene or something.

Make an outline of the whole novel. When you're bored, find one of the blank spots and start typing. (Don't fear the delete key, it is vital.)
Hawkings Austin Getting people to read your stories. I'd pretty much give them away, just because I'm excited to have people in my worlds.
Hawkings Austin If you want to write, write, but get advice on writing fairly quickly. It hurts a bit, starting out, but you'll appreciate it more as time goes on. The fact is, you probably don't know how to write a plot synopsis and you probably need to. You should also know how to criticize your own chapters, figure out if you're helping the plot or not.

The easiest thing in the world is to just write "what happens to your characters." There is a lot of ideas in the stream of consciousness writing, but most of it wont make it into the novel.
Hawkings Austin The Bone God is with my editor and Serpent King is on the typewriter as we speak. This is how I avoid doing my homework. Both of those are sequels to The Broken Man.

I also have Pure Poison and Immaculate Corpse out hunting an agent. So there are a few books coming out from me this year.
Hawkings Austin Hmm. I am constantly telling stories. My wife tells me to write them down. She's the boss.
Hawkings Austin This story has a dozen starts. I told Irish folktales to my son for his bedtime stories. I took a character from an old D&D campaign and repurposed him into some ghost stories. I studied Irish pre-history for about twenty years and figured I might as well get a story out of it.

I really try not to bore the reader to death with my deep excitement in religious and cultural history. I just try to flavor the book with it.
