S.M. England Alright, this might be a long one.

How I deal with writer's block is this: I write. I keep writing, even if I think it's absolute trash I still write. Put something down on paper (or text document) just so you have made progress on the book. First drafts are not meant to be utter perfection, I should know, and so progress counts. There will always be future drafts where you will polished it and then you decide on whether or not to keep it or change it entirely.

There is a reason why editing exists, but it's not that necessary for a first draft. Progress is key in a first draft. Finish the story, then polish it.
S.M. England The best thing about being a writer is seeing how your stories affect other people, and then them telling you how it affected them. It's touching to know how much someone loves your work and how encouraged they felt to go out there and write their own stories. It's truly a wonderful feeling and there's nothing else like it.
S.M. England Passion and dedication. Those are the two things that got me where I am as a writer today, and so I give that same advice to other aspiring writers.

Don't ever give up.
S.M. England I am currently working on many projects right now, but for a simpler and less time-consuming answer, I am working on a novel I recently announced titled "The Birds of Corvus", a romantic tragedy set in a fantasy setting inspired by Studio Ghibli films.

S.M. England Music is the big one. Songs, whether lyrical or purely instrumental, can get into a writing mood that leads into epic writing sessions. Talking with other writers is another one, especially when we are working on stories of a similar genre.
S.M. England I was actually inspired by the breton legend of the Ankou, and from there I was motivated to write a story about death interacting with life and the acceptance of death.
