I don't. I think sitting in front of the computer deciding what is the right story to tell your audience is normal. Sometimes this takes longer than I want but that's okay because I am committed to telling the best story I can. Really, I don't believe in "writer's block." I think saying what needs to be said is scary and I don't want to say.

Don't wait for the right moment or a magical bolt of inspiration, because it might not come in the way that you think it will. Write and write often. Also, make sure you are willing and have the passion to see your story through to the end.

I am writing a book about my first 20 weddings to the same woman. My wife and I are trying to get married 100 times in 100 countries. So far, 20 times in 15 countries.

I don't. I make it a habit to sit down and not get up until I have written something -- even if it's garbage. There is always editing. Once every great while I wake up and it is just there and the words flow. Most of the time I just have to force it out. Usually after a page or two something clicks in. This doesn't mean it is great or doesn't require a ton of editing later but I start getting the story that needs to be written on the page. Maybe writing inspires me to write!

I started writing my history with my father a number of years ago. I think initially from a writing assignment when I went back to school as a very middle-aged guy. I realized my history with him was bizarre, ridiculous and funny.
