I just sit down and make myself write. Sometimes I start with nonsense that sounds cool, like 'Mary Married a Merry Miner to Birth Babies of Bitty Bodies', or 'Laying the Lake for a mid-day picnic, baking the bay for a midnight tryst.' Then it turns into a poem, which leads me to be able to write more structured novel and short story content. I'll also tell stories to my little brother if he's around - nothing cures writer's block faster!

I would go to Middle Earth and spend a week in Rivendell, then travel leisurely to the Grey Havens, (Mithlond), stopping for a pint at the Prancing Pony and the Green Dragon of course, and sail away to search for Valinor. Don't know if I'd find it, but I'd like to try.
