Goodreads asked Elizabeth Russell:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Elizabeth Russell I just sit down and make myself write. Sometimes I start with nonsense that sounds cool, like 'Mary Married a Merry Miner to Birth Babies of Bitty Bodies', or 'Laying the Lake for a mid-day picnic, baking the bay for a midnight tryst.' Then it turns into a poem, which leads me to be able to write more structured novel and short story content. I'll also tell stories to my little brother if he's around - nothing cures writer's block faster!
