I get inspired to write by several methods. I think one of the best inspirations is taking a writing class because it forces you to write and think about writing. I recently took a unit in genre writing. I wanted to try something different from factual writing for a bit of fun. I have come away with new ideas for nonfiction stories that I may never have considered if I hadn't taken the course.

The best thing about being a writer is that writing can be done anywhere at any time. It doesn't require much equipment. It allows me to be as creative as I wish.

My advice for aspiring writers is to write and read. Also analyse books you like to determine what it is that makes them so good. Get people to read your work and take their constructive criticism on board. You don't have to change something, but at least consider what is being suggested.
