How do you get inspired to write?

Lisa Jean Russ I get inspired to write by several methods. I think one of the best inspirations is taking a writing class because it forces you to write and think about writing. I recently took a unit in genre writing. I wanted to try something different from factual writing for a bit of fun. I have come away with new ideas for nonfiction stories that I may never have considered if I hadn't taken the course.
