Todd Mika I never start writing my books from page 1. I usually jump in somewhere around page 70-100, when the first big thing happens that I'm excited to write about. When I get stuck, I jump forward again to the next thing I'm excited to write about. So you could say I jump over the writer's blocks instead of dealing with them.
Todd Mika You just had the greatest idea ever! Then, you suddenly realize you have nothing to write or type with, and you're about to go to bed.
Todd Mika Don't push yourself to begin writing with your story's beginning and end with your story's ending. Don't wait to get to that one scene you're dying to write. Start writing the part of the story that is most exciting to you! It just might give you inspiration for how you want the story to begin or end... and it might be even better than you originally planned!
