Since I'm a mystery writer, I would like to enter the world of Sherlock Holmes. I would get Dr. Watson booted out for awhile so I could be Sherlock's assistant and learn his unique ways of detecting.

The mystery in my life that I could use for a plot in a mystery is---
What happened to great-grandpa? My great-grandfather, who came from Ireland, was a nitroglycerine maker for the mines in upper Michigan. I have a record of where all the family members moved and are buried except for him. My dad's family left no information on where he is buried and census records don't show where he was living after 1880.

That's a tough one. So many come to mind--Romeo and Juliet, Scarlett and Rhett Butler, Pa and Ma Ingalls, Eliza Bennet and Mr. Darcy, Remi and Sam Fargo, and Tommy and Tuppence. I guess I would have to say the couple who is closest to real life for me. So that boils down to the Ingalls or Tommy and Tuppence.
My selection is the Ingall's. These characters displayed such a great amount of love. Even though they went through much hardship and heartache during their life on the prairie they never gave up on each other or gave in to despair. And in real life, we're taught to keep plugging away.
That's what deep love is all about. Hanging on to each other through good times and bad times.

If you feel you have a story to tell, put it down. It doesn't matter if it doesn't get published. You still did it. Too many people say I'm going to write this or that someday and never do. Years later they regret that they never did write the story they had planned to.

I'm currently working on my sixth novel, the third in the Mary Malone mystery series. These stories take place in the Twin Cities and various parts of Minnesota. And I'm working on another short story mystery for an anthology.

Something I hear on the news, someone mentions a particular thing in a conversation or something I witness triggers my imagination.

I was visiting my aunt from Duluth during the month of October when I got the idea for the 2016 release of DEATH OF THE NAKED LADY. While there, I hiked over rather high sand dunes leading to the shores of Lake Superior and came upon three men and a woman sitting around a campfire. The three men were heavily clothed. I'll let you draw your own conclusions in regards to the lone woman.
