I was born in Minneapolis, MN. Later, I had the opportunity to live in Ohio, Iowa, and Maryland. Moving around and traveling has helped me understand people from different parts of the country.

I received a degree in education from St. Cloud State University, a two year business marketing degree from Anoka Ramsey Community College, and a certificate from the Institute of Children's Literature.

I'm proud to be a local and national member of Sisters in Crime, an organization started by Sue Grafton in the 1980's

My creative writing juices started flowing around age 50. Looking to Colonel Sanders and Grandma Moses for inspiration in new career accomplishments, I firmly believe it's never too late to accomplish your dreams whatever they may be.

The mystery in my life that I could use for a plot in a mystery is---

What happened to great-grandpa? My great-grandfather, who came from Ireland, was a nitroglycerine maker for the mines in upper Michigan. I have a record of where all the family members moved and are buried except for him. My dad's family left no information on where he is buried and census records don't show where he was living after 1880.(less)

Topic 40 Writer Prompts

Greetings,

It's been awhile since I signed off of this blog, but last night I decided to try posting whenever I have a chance. A year ago last fall I joined a new writers group that meets once a week in the town we moved to. It's the fourth one I've belonged to since I started to write in 1995. Since I joined this group of writers, ranging in age from 95 to 52, we've gained three new members. B Read more of this blog post »

Another perfectly woven story by Clive Cussler. I like the dynamics of the characters portrayed in the story. The bad guy had been a circus performer at one time and knows how to quickly disappear on a ship by using ropes.
