My idea was inspired by the life of my 3x great-grandmother, Selina Aylott, who sadly took her own life in 1909. Her story and the subject of suicide has always interested me.
My ideas all come from my family history, a family tree that I share with millions of people the world over. Many of the stories I have discovered spanning 22 years of research are noteworthy and many feel as though they have jumped straight out of the pages of a novel.
My family history is shared with famous folk too, Cher, Pocahontas, Vincent Price, Elvis Presley, James Dean and many more.

I am currently working on a few blogs that I manage online, two of these relate to my family history and the last is more generic and covers all of my interests. Once I have caught up on these, my plan is to begin writing about Dorset Folk Tale connected to my family history.

I suppose the best thing about being a writer is leaving a small part of who you are behind when your time has finally arrived. As a historian and genealogist, archiving is very important to me and the thought of someone reading my words in hundreds of years time makes me smile.

I usually listen to music when I have writers block, easy listening or classical. I love words and poetry so gentle music can be pretty thought provoking for me.
