Hmmm, I'll take a beat from the short story on my website. -The wind whistled through the cracks in the thatched roof house as Edna lifted her canteen to her mouth, heart stuttering as the candle flamed twitched in the draft. The sharp bite of Sulphur drifted up from the floorboards, and she gripped the tin until her knuckles whitened.

I think I’d go into Andy Weir’s Artemis. Imagine being there for first contact with alien life. I’ve always loved a touch of sci-fi, which is why I threaded those elements into Excavating Fate. There are just so many variables and ways to expand in this genre. Thanks so much for reaching out. As always, I appreciate your support.

I have so many to read, and a variety of tastes. Some off the top of my head are as follows:
Lady Tan's Circle of Women by Lisa See
Fallen Court by Geneva Lee
Winter Garden by Kristen Hannah
The Primal of Blood and Bone by Jennifer Armentraut
The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
The Maid by Nita Prose
Choosing Theo by Victoria Aveline
The Fallen and the Kiss of Dusk, by Carissa Broadbent.
As always, thanks for reaching out and for your support. I truly appreciate it.

My eccentric mother used to tell tales about my eccentric great-grandmother in Ireland, who once had an encounter with Old Scratch. I wrote a short story about it years ago, early in my writing career, and later posted it on my website. Someday I’d love to expand it into a full novel. All my mother's tales would be fun to write.
