Victoria Hardesty I have to clear my mind of clutter - the day to day stuff that gets in the way. I need to clear out tasks that need to be done first so I can concentrate and it helps if I have quiet time with no interruptions while I get in gear and get started. Once started, the words flow easily.
Victoria Hardesty The best part about writing a novel is that you can let your imagination run wild. You can dream up impossible situations and make them happen in your stories. You can write things that make readers laugh and cry, feel good and be happy they took the time to read your writing.
Victoria Hardesty Write a lot!! Write about what you love. Make sure you plan for writing time in every day.
Victoria Hardesty We are working on the fourth book in our series, Desert Rose. We hope to have that released in October/November 2018. We are also doing research on our fifth book, Freedom, which we plan to release in early Spring 2019.
Victoria Hardesty I had a 9th-grade teacher, Miss Juhl, who was a stickler for reading, writing, and vocabulary. I learned to read at age 3, so that wasn't a problem. Because I read a lot, my vocabulary wasn't a problem either. In her class, she taught us how to structure a sentence, and diagram it properly. I thrived on it. During my working life, I composed business letters, memos, handbooks, instruction manuals, etc. I always wanted to write a novel. My best friend of 50+ years always wrote. She filled notebooks with her writings, then tossed them out. Later in life, we each had a serious, life-threatening illness. It was during our recovery we decided to fulfill that lifelong dream. We teamed up to write a series of books. We've got two published now, the third one is due for release later this month (July 2018) and we're writing the fourth one for release in October/November 2018. We're planning a fifth and sixth for next year. What we never anticipated is all the other work an Author needs to do in order for the books to sell. We're still working on our author's platform while we squeeze in time to write our stories.
