I have seen both The Vampire Diaries and The Originals and yes, a lot of those characters were an inspiration for his character in addition to Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I love books and movies/TV shows about vampires and I really enjoyed exploring their conflicted side because they are more than just soulless monsters. I feel like they have so many different layers and I wanted to expand on that within Ches's character to create a struggle between the man and the monster and where Ches would wind up on the scale of good and evil.

Thanks for your question! When I was younger, my mom used to buy me different collections of fairy-tales and stories and I used to read them and then I would start mixing the stories together to write my own tales. I think that's when I first realized how much I loved reading and writing!

Thanks for your question! Wow that is so tough because I really love so many of them. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is my favorite book, but I guess if we are looking at traditional fairy-tales, I am going with a lesser known one, The Twelve Dancing Princesses. I had a collection of fairy-tales growing up and this one was always my favorite but I honestly love so many fairy-tales and that's why I try to insert them into my work and create re-imaginings because there is so much magic to be explored beyond the story! :)

I will be exploring some other fairy tales. A reimagining of Hansel & Gretel and Snow White will be included and of course Through the Looking Glass. Hi Deepthi! Thanks so much for your question. "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" has always been my absolute favorite book and I love trying to re-imagine fairy-tales. I had the story in my head for quite some time and decided to just start writing it down one day. I really had so much fun putting a dark twist on my favorite story and giving it a voice of its own.

Reading other books, watching TV and movies, and even just going for a walk outdoors. Nature can be truly inspiring. Even though there is a quiet calm, there's a story being told everywhere!

Sometimes I just have to step away from the computer even if it is for a whole day. Sometimes writing every single day can be stressful so I like to clear my mind and come back refreshed the very next day!

Don't worry about what other people are writing about or about "what has already been done." Write about what you are passionate about. If a story comes to life, why not weave it together until it is your own world and masterpiece?

I have always loved "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and I must have read it a million times. I always used to think about creating my very own Wonderland when I was younger and when I got into writing, I decided to make that world come alive across the page.
