This is my favorite question! I find inspiration everywhere - even in the smallest things. I was born with a love of the natural world and so something like seeing a toad can change my whole day for the better and make me want to work. This probably sounds silly but it's true and I'm very grateful I'm wired this way.

It's probably cliché but NOTHING happens overnight! You have to keep at it, work and then work some more. Over time small changes in your style, your voice and all the other elements that make writing work will come together.

I try to focus on other creative activities such as photography or even taking long walks - I find this helps 'stir the pot' to re-engage with my work.
