I'm in between books right now, so which is more recent?
I'll confess that Coffee-to-Go was inspired by an fan fiction idea I had. However, I quickly realized that the story was completely unique, other than the character names. So, before I even began to write it, I started to redevelop the story with original characters instead.
For the next novel, Soul Surprise, I was inspired by a trope I've always wanted to write: a world where people are born with a mark on their skin that can help them identify their soulmate. From there, I speculated the following scenario.
What if someone born with a soul mark is also bisexual, but represses it and only dates the opposite gender. How would they react if they are faced with the reality that their soulmate is the same gender as they are?

A few years ago I was playing a video game called Dragon Age. I was frustrated at some of the storyline limitations, so I decided to write my own storylines (basically fan fiction). That fueled a passion for writing I didn't know I had, and eventually led to my writing original stories as well.

My main focus right now is marketing my first novel, "Coffee-to-Go." I have another novel planned that I'll begin writing soon. The working title for the new novel is "Soul Surprise."

Writing gives me a huge endorphin rush, which just makes me feel really good. That's what makes being a writer so addicting to me. Beyond that, bringing worlds and characters to life from my imagination is thrilling. Finally, seeing others enjoy and be entertained by what I write warms my heart.

I generally have several writing projects I work on at the same time. If I get stuck on one, I'll just rotate to another. I've not yet been so blocked that I am incapable of working on at least one.
