C.M. Genovese Hey Kitty! I've tried to get that sorted out in the past but apparently, Goodreads likes to keep every version of a book. They won't remove old versions in case someone owns that version of it. At least that's what I was told about a year ago when I asked. They also won't let me claim all pen names under one account so I had to create this new account for CM Genovese. I'll have to eventually create one for Carver Pike too.
C.M. Genovese I juggle stories. So, if I find myself getting writer's block with one story (or even with one whole pen name), I'll switch to another story. It helps that I write romance, romantic suspense, and horror under three different names. If I'm not in the mood for anything romantic, I can switch to my Carver Pike name and go psycho with it. I love that.
C.M. Genovese The best thing about being a writer is being able to create the stories I'd want to read. A lot of times, I crack open a book because I like the blurb, but the author just doesn't take me where I want to go. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of badass, excellent books. But I like that I can create characters, breathe life into them, and take them on a journey I'd like to read myself. Hope that makes sense.
C.M. Genovese Be careful about following advice. Everyone has advice. Look, I'm writing some now. You have to write for you, but also write for the audience. I guess that means understand there are rules and decide which rules are worth breaking. Romance has a lot of rules, but if we always follow them, all the stories will be the same. We're dangerously close to that happening already. I like to break the rules. It'll cost me a one-star review every now and then, but I understand that. I just can't follow the same ol' formula. But hopefully, I'll pick up some readers and fans anyway.

Oh, and I've written a few blog posts with advice too. Read those, as I plan to keep going with them as I learn some tricks along the way.
C.M. Genovese I write under three pen names. So, I just finished Pride's Envy by CM Genovese, and I've already started on the next book in the Razorblade Tumbleweeds MC series, Fury's Grace. I'm also working on a few books by my darker, horror-related pen name, Carver Pike. I love being in Carver's mind.
C.M. Genovese I started writing in high school. I love typing. So, as soon as I learned to type without looking at the keyboard, I couldn't stop. I started my first book, a really cheesy YA story, on my grandpa's old typewriter. Then, I began handwriting the books and passing notebooks around to all the girls in class. I don't even know how I passed some of those classes considering I had my face in a notebook all day. It did help me talk to the girls though lol.
C.M. Genovese My newest book is Pride's Envy, which goes live on Amazon July 15th. This is Tribal's story, for the most part. He's always been one of my favorite character's but so little was known about him. I really wanted to dive into his back story and introduce you to an old flame of his. Horizon, Tribal's love interest, is one of my favorite characters now. I'd hook up with her that's for sure.
