Alankrita Khera A long form story about dysfunctional relationships beyond the boundaries of societal morality. A story of love and loss but also learning and wisdom. A story of making the hard choices and making them count. Aanya’s story.
Alankrita Khera Keep writing. It doesn’t matter if you think it isn’t good enough. It will be someday. It doesn’t matter if you can’t find the time for it. Believe me, you can. And most of all, it doesn’t matter what other people think of what you write. Write for yourself, never an audience. The audience will come.
Keep writing.
Alankrita Khera The unbelievable power of being able to capture emotion. And release it. All in the same breath.
Alankrita Khera I’m someone who is constantly spinning stories in her head. Everything is inspiration. Every conversation. Every fleeting feeling. Every dream. Every person I meet. On most days, what I struggle with is not the inspiration but the time to actually write down the stories in my head. And when I’m feeling too drained to put my pen to paper, because it’s been a long day at work or because I’m preoccupied with family, I blog instead. To keep those thoughts flowing. Writing keeps me sane. It’s who I am - by passion, if not full time profession.
Alankrita Khera The idea for ‘Him & Her’ didn’t come as a sudden thought. There is something to be said about the moments we share with someone that leave a lasting impression. We’ve all experienced them. Moments that cannot be measured in time. Moments of love that are as fleeting as they are permanent. Moments that may have occurred in our dreams and yet feel so real. So I started thinking of writing about such moments as short stories. Stories that don’t have a distinct beginning or end. Stories that don’t even have defined characters. Just a ‘Him’ and a ‘Her’. Characters that could be anybody. Characters that could be you. That are you.
Alankrita Khera I lock myself in a room, listen to music and doodle! At the very least, it gets my mind off the sensation of hitting a brick wall with respect to my writing. But for most part, it helps my thoughts flow.

The other thing I do is travel by myself - usually to the mountains. There is something about being alone with your thoughts in the silence of the mountains. It’s a cure for writers block like none other.
