Narendra Mohan Mittal Writer’s block. Every writer struggles with it. But what you do with it is what really matters. Before we talk about solutions, though, let’s talk about the problem.

Writer’s block is normal if you’re unaware of why you feel blocked, unmotivated on uninspired.

I get stuck many times in the middle of a novel. I lose my muse and don’t feel like writing. I stare at the computer screen and no words come to mind. My head feels stuck, stuck, stuck. It can be frustrating.

Write What You Know
Write down the facts and everything else you know about the topic you’re finding challenging or having a problem with. Use a mind map, index cards or bullet points. Your job is to excavate what’s in your mind about the topic at hand.

Writing down the facts will give you an idea of what you need to research and help you identify topics to include.

Free Write
What is on your mind right now? Write about it. Write down anything that you can. By writing about something, even if it is not about the topic you are writing about can get your creative juices flowing.

Write Down Your Accomplishments
Write down what you’ve accomplished so far.
Research? Done.
Opening angle? Done.
Writing the first draft? In progress.

Acknowledging your accomplishments unlocks a sense of pride. It’s a reminder that you’re making progress even if you feel stuck.
Narendra Mohan Mittal My opinion of course: don’t try and organize, just write. Writing is an activity, not an aspiration. Look for your own voice…this comes with time and your voice will be influenced by others, but there is a flow to your own and you will have the sense, “I’m good at this ….” Write to the one, not for the many.

Never stop believing in yourself!

The words might not always flow. There will be times when you’ll doubt yourself and times you think your writing sucks...and at times, that might even be true (it happens, accept it, don’t beat yourself up about it) but if you can keep that faith that you are doing what you need to be doing right now...then you’ll be fine.

Don’t be scared to share your words. They are awesome. You are awesome. You have a story inside of you that is amazing and it’s probably not as bad as you think it is.

Take pride in being an author. Hone the art of positivity, empathy, observation, and listening.

Writing about your expertise or experiences will help you author a gripping fiction or nonfiction book, in less time.
Narendra Mohan Mittal Remind yourself the REASON why you’re writing
Don’t write, because other people said so.
Don’t write, because you heard it’s a useful skill.
Don’t write, just because you want to say something.

Write, because you genuinely enjoy it.
Write, because you want to earn good money from it.
Write, because you have something to say.

Dreams are often memorable because they are full of the fantastical and the strange. They’re also deeply symbolic and suggest to us courses of action or new ways of seeing things in a roundabout way, using the power of storytelling and creative association. You might not remember dreams often, or you might not find story ideas in your dreams, but daydreaming can provide a similar source of inspiration.
Narendra Mohan Mittal For me, I came up with the idea because it was a topic I was deeply interested in. So my first, the recommendation would be do chose a topic that you are deeply interested in. It’s easy to write about what you are interested in and very difficult to write about what you are not interested in.

The next step that honestly does help is to create a story plot off of your ideas. This is a great test to see if your idea is can easily be developed or not. I did this with my book idea and found that it could easily be expounded on. You know what’s interesting, my original story plot was not followed at all, it developed over time.

Recently my 39th self published book went live on Amazon. This is my second published book.

Although the book was written in 30 days, by no means was the content in the book an effort of just 30 days. I had cumulated my entire experience of the last several years of being in this industry to write this book.
Narendra Mohan Mittal The best thing about being a writer is that you can express your thoughts in a written form towards the people around you. There are many people who are eagerly waiting for some different answer to the information they want to know.

The best part about being a writer is that you do not have to think about what to do and how to do. Your job is to write and other’s job is to read.

Being a writer gives you the graciousness of knowing yourself. You came to know how fast you can think and select the perfect thoughts inside your mind.
Research is a vital part of creating a believable world. I love the fact that I can ring someone up, explain that I am writing a book on a subject which they know something about, and ask if I can have a look around their business
