I have an amazing network of friends that are also writers that push me to do better. Sometimes it's a challenge.

Sometimes talking out ideas with specific friends helps. Writer's block happens. Sometimes I just have to ride it out, or go over what I have already written down to jog my brain into go mode. Sometimes listening to music gets the characters going. Other times it's letting the characters have their temper tantrum, and then we get back to writing.

The idea for The Lady in Black started after reading local ghost stories, and I came across one for The Black Lady in England. Then I asked myself, "What would happen if the child grew up and had children of their own?". That's when Josephine was born.
