Hi Eden, thank you for your lovely review of my book. I’m so happy that you enjoyed reading it, as well as visiting Prince Edward Island. I am happy to share the recipe, though it is not an original - was it the Bakewell tart balls, or the chocolate truffle balls? Both contain dates and are very good. Basically, you throw everything in a food processor and blitz to a thick dough. Let me know which recipe you would like. Mae

Moving to Prince Edward Island was the inspiration for my book. The Island has one million visitors each year, many of whom come to visit Green Gables which is famous across the globe. I thought that there must be other people out there who would like to know what it is like to live on an island and so I decided to write about our first year as residents of Canada’s smallest province.
