Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Bhaskar Sompalli It was at a roadside coffee shop near Livermore, California. California, just like the rest of the world, was in the grips of recession. My co-author and I were unemployed at the time. We wanted to talk about anything other than the depressing job scene, and meandered into Utopian fiction. That was a few years ago, and here we are, with our very first book based on our discussions from that fateful morning.

So I have 3 things to thank for this book: Unemployment, economic recession and early morning coffee!

How do you get inspired to write?

Bhaskar Sompalli Inspiration comes from a lot of sources; stories I hear on news & podcasts, books I read, when I am at museums, coffee shops, or just living a life with kids and friends! But I have narrowed it down to a connection with flowing water. I seem to get inspired to write when washing dishes or when in the shower! Not sure why yet!
