I was born and raised in a sleepy little cantonment in south India. Growing up in this little backwaters highly-cosmopolitan place, helped fortify my politics, friendships and my attitude for the environment.

My first book, which I co-wrote with my grad-school buddy, is utopian fiction; imagining a world where we have conquered our worst instincts as a society.

I am active in writing and reading essays on-air at San Francisco's KQED NPR radio station (links below).
