Matthew T. Summers Finally, I have some time to write! Oh no, here come the kids!!!

Matthew T. Summers Hrm. Well, probably ANY fantasy-based world (Harry Potter, Middle Earth, etc) because I'd love to see magic in action.
Matthew T. Summers Have a couple from Chris Jackson, and whatever floats my way otherwise.
Matthew T. Summers For "The Draconic Pipeline," the idea started rather basic... I wanted to write about a guy stuck in a dead-end job that was able to travel to his "dream" world. That morphed into something just a tad beyond the initial idea, but most of them tend to.
Matthew T. Summers I don't honestly know. Things just... come to me. It could be an image, a turn of phrase, or even just a single word that just starts to bounce around in my mind. But once it starts percolating in my head, it's not leaving until it's become SOMETHING... short story, novel, etc. Gets a bit noisy in there.
Matthew T. Summers Working on two projects currently (April 2019) - I've started book 2 of the Dreamwalker series, and I'm starting the crafting process for a new series that's not named yet.
Matthew T. Summers Write, daily. Even if it's not in your genre, your worlds, or your comfort zone. Write about your daily life. Write about your kids/dog/cat/work/anything. Describe your day in a blog, and try to make it more interesting than "I got up, ate Cheerios, went to work, came home and stared at the tv."

But write. Do it daily.
Matthew T. Summers Seeing the direction that the worlds in my head finally arrive at. Typically, where I *THINK* a short story, novel, or chapter is going to go is rarely where it winds up at the end. Sometimes I feel like I'm literally just hanging on for the ride with a pen and paper, recording what I see.
Matthew T. Summers Hah, this one's a loaded question for me, since "The Draconic Pipeline" was only written after battling writer's block for TEN LONG YEARS. Yeah. A full decade of staring at zero progress wasn't very fun. Um... best I can say is just keep writing. My biggest fault was that I let myself stop writing, and once you stop... getting going again was one of the hardest things to do.
