I do not plan that far ahead. I am usually a reader that chooses one book after the next depending on what I feel like.

Make a commitment. Decide that you will write a book, and plan how to accomplish it. Choose a topic that you have something to say. Open your mind, let it go and let it flow. Once you hurdle the first book, the next doesn't seem so impossible.

Get over the obstacle. If you need to just write out a scenario, do it. The next day, if it sucks, re-write it. The key is to keep writing. Get the words on the paper.

I get to make my own hours and get my ideas out. I get to wallow in my own fantasies and make up the movie in my own head. I am watching the action and characters and am curious myself as to what they will do.

I wonder how people deal with bad situations. I wondered how I would deal with it if it happened to me.
