Apparently, upon review, the fictional book world I would go to would actually be a screenplay at best... About Time is a movie that plays with concepts I have toyed with my entire life and since it was made a film and never a book/screenplay, then I must choose the Multiverse of Fables, the comic series. If you aren't familiar with either and don't know why I would choose them, than read the entire series of Fables and watch the movie About Time. The answers should hopefully present themselves.

Bed made of unsold novels saturated with intrepid perspiration. Another tail of a failed author come to a sweet end; no support equals no success!

Well, there is the mystery of how I am still alive... I guess, that could make for a great book one day, but I don't tend to write quite that autobiographically. Still, a decade spent living on quick noodles, cheap beer, and bourbon would and has put many to pushing up the daisies. Fortunately, I also used to run six miles a day during that period in my life and eventually discovered yoga shortly thereafter in what I call the sobering period... But, of course, a couple of car accidents will knock you on your arse and make you take another good look at things. My coffee stains and ink blots make for an even greater story that all my early years combined; however, and I hope to have the chance to share them one day on paper...

My only advice it to never give up. It took me over ten years publish my first novel and I never gave up so neither should you. Sure, I had set-backs and let-downs, and sometimes even full on breakdowns, but I always knew that I would get back to work and finish my first novel. The will to create is the strongest drive you will ever need to get through the tough times.

Creating something from nothing; watching the blank pages get laden with ink-stained splendor. A finished work of art is a damned wonderful thing and I love watching it grow from humble beginnings into a full-blown masterpiece.

Blocks that keep us from writing are just that, blocks. The only way to write therefor is to remove all the blocks in your life. The best and most efficient way to do this is to create a sacred space for writing where all disturbances are cut out. Then you just have to figure out when the best time of day is when mental disturbances are at a minimum in order to limit them as well. For me the best time is at night after I've completed all my other tasks for the day. Whenever it may be, just make sure that nobody messes with your sacred space. It is ok to have sacred space and to make sure everyone knows not to bother you during your time spent there.

I find inspiration everywhere. Open mic nights, art, and personal experience often inspire poetry while my bigger ideas for short stories and novels come from my wild imagination. To make a clearer point, my biggest inspiration is the lack of things I see out in the "real world." I find a constant lack in the wildest of things rambling in my brain not being present out there and I'm bewildered by the fact that I know I'm not alone. This is what motivates me to never give up on my projects no matter how long they take to finish.
